Mi práctica se sitúa en la intersección entre la voz, la respiración y el afecto digital. La mayoría de mis obras surgen de experiencias personales que me han conmovido profundamente, como la búsqueda del contacto físico con un cuerpo ausente, o el intento de encontrar intimidad a través de escuchar repetidamente los mensajes de voz de alguien más. Estos encuentros han estado mediados por mis dispositivos tecnológicos, y me han generado una urgencia por comprender la tecnología desde un lugar más íntimo, y no solamente como una herramienta transaccional.
Trabajo como artista e investigadora, aproximándome a la tecnología desde una perspectiva ontológica. ¿Qué hace que un cuerpo se sienta presente en un espacio? ¿Necesita tener materialidad física para ser percibido como un cuerpo? ¿O puede estar relacionado a una agenciamiento virtual? ¿Con aquello que actúa sin existir físicamente?
Tengo un MFA en Art and Technology Studies de SAIC. También trabajo como docente de Arte y Tecnología en dos universidades en Bogotá, donde enseño programación creativa y teoría crítica, entrelazando siempre estas prácticas con perspectivas posthumanistas.
He presentado mi trabajo en el MoMA PS1, la 17 Bienal de Artes Mediales de Santiago, el Festival Internacional de Artes Mediales de Valparaíso, Experimental Sound Studio (ESS), Hyde Park Art Center, el Festival Internacional de la Imagen, Elastic Arts, Sónar Bogotá, Mutek.co, Festival Domo Lleno, Visual Arts Network of South Africa (VANSA) y Ars Electronica.

My practice sits at the intersection between voice, breath, and digital affect. Most of my works emerge from personal experiences that have deeply moved me, such as the search for physical touch with an absent body, or to find intimacy through repeatedly listening to someone’s voice messages. These encounters have been mediated by my technological devices, and have given me an urgency to understand technology from a more tender place, and not only as a transactional tool.
I work as an artist and researcher, approaching technology from an ontological perspective. What makes a body feel present in space? Does it need physical materiality to be perceived as a body? Or can it be related to virtual agency? to that which acts without physically existing? I hold an MFA in Art and Technology Studies from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. I also work as a lecturer in Art and Technology at two universities in my hometown, Bogotá, where I teach creative coding and critical theory, always intertwining these practices with posthumanist perspectives.
